The Berkeley Kite Festival was quite an experience. I'm told this year was much more crowded and restrained than last. This was my first time, and it was fun, though I'd have liked a better variety in big kites rather than the fleet of flying octopodes (one shown here).

9.9.06 - Saturday

My Downtown Denver gallery is complete. I went to Denver back in February for a business trip and walked around downtown taking photos of the buildings.

This shot is of a new addition, the Hamilton building, to the Denver Art Museum. It wasn't complete when I came, but will be stunning.

7.20.06 - Thursday

Waiting for the free ferry (thanks, Spare the Air days) at the Embarcadero Ferry Building, I saw this doggy peeking out of a stroller. A little bit of cute, weird, and funny all rolled into one.

5.13.06 - Saturday

Got to put my new phone's camera to the test a week ago. This is the biggest truck I've ever seen parked on a residential street.

4.16.06 - Sunday

My entry ("Concrete permeability") into Dgrin Challenge 62 - "Porous".

The shot was taken on 4/11 when I came home from work in a downpour and saw water squirting up out of the front steps.

I haven't had time to process any photos due to other work. But I'm aching to get to them. And added to the queue are a few gigs of shots from DC.

4.2.06 - Sunday

My entry ("Gray day in the bay, ok?") into Dgrin Challenge 61 - "Black and White in Color". The challenge was to take a shot in color that looks like it's in black and white but for a bit of proof somewhere in the image showing that it was actually taken in color. Fun stuff, though I wish I could've come up with a more interesting photo. Next time... :)

The shot was taken on 3/25 in the parking lot by the old Long's near the Lake Merritt Farmer's Market (click for map).

I have a backlogo of photos from Tilden, Point Reyes, Monterey's 17 mile drive, Castle Rock, a re-hike of the Mt. Diablo Falls Trail Loop, and a Scharffen Berger chocolate factory tour, but haven't had a chance to clean any up yet. Soon, I promise.

3.15.06 - Wednesday

The gallery from Lake Tahoe is now up and open. Jen and I took a trip to Tahoe for her birthday back in February and before we left explored a little. The gallery shots are almost entirely from Nevada Beach, though later I may add a couple of the skiing shots we took.
